My name is Sid Arora. Welcome to my travel blog! I am a recent college grad who is taking time after school to explore different aspects of myself before jumping into a career. I want to use this precious time to pursue projects, passions, global travel, and different random curiosities: all things that I felt I neither had the time nor energy to explore fully during school.
I graduated in May of this year and since then, I have completed the Boulder 70.3 half ironman race, I worked as a director in a tutoring center, I have started an investment profile, and I have spent time with my family. In addition, I have traveled to Mexico, Switzerland, Las Vegas, and The Grand Canyon all in the past few months. If it is not clear by now, I love to travel and to truly experience what the world has to offer. Living in Boulder Colorado has been a privilege and has shaped me into a stronger, more capable person. However, I feel that is is now time to explore the richness of other areas of the world, areas which many deem as the “third world. ” Although these places may not have the most high-tech Starbucks kiosks or the most flawless infrastructure, they often provide the most authentic and genuine experiences. The warmth of the people living there, the appreciation for the land, and the gratefulness for life itself are all elements that shape these experiences, and I plan on actively seeking them out.
I have organized this travel blog in a way that will highlight special experiences and summaries of each day of travel. I will do my best to post daily and maintain a light-hearted tone. I do not wish to mimic the formality of a well-read or well-known website and instead, I simply want to provide readers with the raw facts and feelings. Please feel free to tune in and out as you so desire. Happy reading! And thank you for taking the time to support the Desi Nomad.
